what is the most stable product to use as home hub

Considering all the various updates and versions, would Apple please advise which products are the suggested best products to use as a home hub.

As a consumer, if I go through the trouble of creating automation, I would like to know more about which product fails more often, and we can list a secondary product as a backup to the primary hub. For example, if I do assign the apple tv as my hub and that was to fail, am I expected to wait till I can obtain another one, or would I be able to assign another device to take over the role of the primary hub.

With having multiple Hubs, one cannot choose which acts as the primary Hub. They all do, but one is connected status with the others on standby. It switches around on its own. So we don’t know which is the best one.

If you only have an Apple TV, it will be the primary hub all the time because that’s the only HomeKit hub you have. Will it work 100% of the time? No because it’s using wifi and as you know wifi signals can go down. It’s dependent on that. All Hubs are. “It” being the HomeKit (Accessories).
