Battery Issue

For around a month or so my MacBook Pro has been facing this issue where the battery is getting discharged very quickly. When I put it on sleep (no matter what the battery % is), the MacBook heats up and gets discharged within an hour or so. So every time I open it I have to connect it to a power source then it starts. The battery was changed 6-7 months ago. If anyone knows any solution, please let me know
