I am an elderly, computer illiterate person who created Pages documents over the last months , then exported them to PDF to enable e-mailing to others, and now cannot find the original Pages documents to edit them.

Some thoughts. If you saved your Pages documents, they will be somewhere on your Mac computer. Click on Spotlight (the magnifying glass towards the right hand side of your screen)

Type the name of a document to see a list of documents that somehow match that name. (You may also see documents that contain that name somewhere in the text. Spotlight is sometimes too clever!)

If there are only PDF documents and no Pages documents matching that name, then perhaps you did not save in Pages?
