To confirm have you attempted to adjust the volume as outlined in the following article?
If so, do you notice the lower volume in all audio sources such as phone calls, video, and audio applications? If not, and the issue is only on phone calls. Do you notice low volume occur when using a headset, placing the call on speakerphone, or only when using the receiver you hold to your ear?
