I have the first generation Apple TV A1218.

Can't even login to i-Tunes. Is there any use for this device? Particularly streaming Apple TV?

As Indiana Jones would say: “That belongs in a museum…”

That model device is not supported for any online services anymore. It lost its ability to sign in to the iTunes Store in 2018. It lost its only third party service (YouTube) in 2015. It is technically obsolete, with no working services, except non-DRM content (local media) that is already on the device.
