We have tried so far…
The SIM card is ok as it works ok in my phone.
We’ve reset the phone
We’ve tried removing and replacing the SIM.
We’ve updated network settings.
My guess is that it’s a hardware issue, Apple want over £300 to sort it, I can’t afford that at the moment.
can anyone please suggest anything else we can try?

Thanks for the link, I’ll take a look now, no it’s not in aeroplane mode, he can make WiFi calls ok, but not via the mobile network, or receive text messages via mobile network.
We have tried everything the link suggests 😞

Yes it’s on, I’ve contacted Vodafone who say it must be a hardware issue 😞
My sons iPhone 11 has lost mobile signal.
