Free 1-year apple TV

I recently purchased a mac book pro and i received and email saying The new device you or a family member purchased comes with access to the all-new streaming service, featuring exclusive Apple Originals — free for 1 year.* but when i click on the 1-year free it only gives me a 1-week free option.

When I go on the only option is 7day free trial and then 4.99 per month. Never got the offer when I first signed into the new device.

Apple shortened new ones to three months from July 1, 2021.
