Hi kenuss,
Thanks for reaching out using Apple Support Communities. Here to help.
We understand you have questions about using custom email domains with your Family!
Custom email domains can be a great way to utilize an email account with your family.
From the related article linked at the top of this post, it is stated, "Anyone in your Family Sharing group can add a custom domain, choose whether or not to share it, and manage the email addresses that they use with that domain."
To get started with Custom Email Domain, follow the link below.
Hope this helps! Take care for now.
I have the same requirement and have this setup with another email host. I was hoping to move to iCloud but have hit a problem. We have 2 family members and 3 email addresses. We each have a personal address and we share another used for common purposes such as banking, insurance, receipts, etc. We can each access email for our personal addresses and the shared address using Apple Mail on our Macbooks. We get a warning that the non-primary (shared) account will have limitations but receiving email is not one of them. However, I'm not able to add the shared account to our iPhones for email. This is a show stopper for us. I tried adding the shared address using imap in the iOS mail app but that's not working either. Disappointing.
