Apple wallet

I think I accidentally deleted /apple wallet on my phone. If I go to App store and click on wallet I can open it and it shows the contents but the icon is not on my phone. I am using my iPhone 12 ProMax. I don't have a credit card associated with Wallet because I don't use Apple Pay. Do I have to attach a credit card to use wallet.
