Where do alerts go when I leave the start screen
Weather alerts, amber alerts, and a few others disappear after I open the iPhone. Where do they go?

Wow. That's quite ridiculous. If an alert is important enough to send it's important enough to save for re-checking in a few minutes. Or in an hour if one sees the car mentioned. Or immediately if one realizes they need more details. etc.
Does iPhone have a way of screen capture for alerts?
