Is this email real?

I recently got an email saying that Apple had upgraded my iCloud plan to iCloud+ for free and I am not sure if it is real. Everything on the email looks legitimate and when I hover over the links it does take you to the actual Apple website. It also has Apple’s copyright at the bottom of the email. The email address that sent it was iCloud@insideapple.apple.com

Hello lottie215,

We understand that you're trying to confirm the legitimacy of that email. We'd be happy to help!

Based on the screenshots you provided, it does look to be from Apple. If you had a paid iCloud plan prior to the release of iCloud+ this email is just letting you know that your paid subscription was upgraded automatically.

If you have any additional questions about it, you'll want to reach out to Apple directly. They'll be able to provide additional info.

Take care!
