Are Apple payments separate from my Apple Card credit limit?

I have a $1000 credit limit on my Apple Card. If I buy a $1000 phone, but use the monthly payments Apple offers when you purchase a phone, would that count against my $1k credit limit, or would it be separate. I’m trying to avoid maxing out my credit limit. Monthly payments with Apple payments would be about 50$. They make it seem like they are separate things. Hope I made sense asking this question!
