iPhone 7 Plus camera does not work since iOS 14

Hey Apple! You did nothing to resolve IPhone 7 issues with camera after your update of iOS 14. Now iOS 15 is still preventing camera from proper use. It works via Messenger (!) but it goes black via your official camera app! Shame on you Apple! So many requests for support and no action from your side. Evidently your fault (works with IOS13 and via other app) and you did nothing!

So the next procedure would be to backup then restore your device to factory, and setup the device without restoring a backup, to see if the issue is replicated.

Then restore the backup.

If you need to send the phone in for repair then backing up and restoring to factory would be needed anyway.

Here is a guide for those steps

Backup and restore (I recommend the computer method if you have one)

(1)How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch – Apple Support

Remove SIM PIN if you have set one

(2) Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings – Apple Support

Set up as new from the Hello Screen without restoring backup. Test if the problem still exists

If the problem goes away in the newly set up phone then suspect settings or apps, and in particular VPNs and so-called security apps which should never go near an iphone.

If the problem remains then arrange a repair including details of these tests.

This is not Apple.

My iphone 7 camera works as do millions more.

Yours doesn't so you should arrange a service or repair

Anything other than Screen or Battery may be a replacement phone and the price is in the article.

If not covered by warranty and you don't have AppleCare+, you may have to pay full replacement cost for severe damage

You can see additional service information within the following article:

I did try all available workarounds including restoring etc.. Nothing works as for many other users (look how many people raising this issue). This is described in many articles you may find in internet. The only working solution was to go back to iOS 13 (as long as it was available - supported by Apple). So, please find working solution, Apple!

I won’t pay Apple for repair of their fault. I may guess, there is probably a module that was upgraded in certain time and now users of “old” phone version are given precious opportunity to pay for service. Thank you for this generous option! Will not pay.
