I have latest OS but MS Excel is showing crossed in the apps. Is there any solution? I am being asked to upgrade to office 365 by paying more money?

Office 2011 won’t run on Big Sur. Office 2019 will (2016 will, also but it isn’t for sale).

There is also the free LibreOffice instead of MS Office.

Depending on how complex the documents, you may be able to open them in Numbers. Not all functions are supported, and no Macros.
