iPod 5 Not charging or recognized

My iPod5 has stopped charging. There is nothing in the charging port that I can detect. I have tried various cables and the computer on other devices and they work. i just bought an iPhone so will be switching to that, but I want to get photos off the iPod. There under 20% power on the iPod. When plugged into my computer (MacBook Air 2020) it is not recognized.
