iPad pro 11 3rd gen disabled connect to iTunes.

First let me say I think while setting up one of the 6 digit codes didn't get entered, I told my step mom the number-she said what number? My dad got me a new iPad pro 11. while I was setting it up i got the disabled connect to iTunes, no good. There was a problem downloading software for iPad, the requested resource not found. hit ok, software is currently unavailable make sure you have the latest version of iTunes. hit ok. If your iPad can't be updated you'll need to restore it to its factory settings. Hope this all makes sense.

Thank you for your help but this did not work. I updated iTunes, but still receive same messages in reference to the ipad, same 3 as above. How can i restore something that was never installed. If the ipad cant be updated i'll need to restore it.... thats the problem. Thats what i need to do. I'm looking at a very expensive gift that is completely stressing me out. One of the reasons of having this was to make my time a little better as i go through some medical tests. I dont know what to do? But thank you for your time.

Thank you Eric, it wont let me connect to support. I think the universe just doesn't want me to have this iPad lol. I will go to support directly.
