Is there really no way to get back messages that were deleted? I didn't know my phone was on the setting where they are deleted after a time. My grandma passed from COVID about a year ago- and I went back to check a conversation I had with her and the messages were gone. Does anyone know if there's any hope to find them again? Thank you.
If you were syncing Messages with iCloud and deleted them, they can't be recovered. If you weren't syncing Messages with iCloud, do you have a backup that is old enough you can restore from? Restoring from a backup erases all data currently on your device. Any data newer than when the backup was made will be erased. A restore is an all or nothing restore. You can't access a backup and only restore certain files.
