How do I type a colon or semi-colon on my iPhone?
This is a very annoying new inconvenience.

On my keyboard, the ; is on the n key and the : is on the m key.

Weirdly, the keyboard I am shown in Safari, is OK, with the colon and semi-colon where they were. It wass the keyboard I was shown when setting up iCloud that lacked these punctuators.
