Safari won't support Google classroom meet

Safari said that I needed to run a security update. After running the update, my son can no longer use Google Meet for his virtual school work with his class. It ran perfectly fine prior to the update. We have tried to delete our cookies, cache and history, then restart the computer but it continue to say "A problem repeatedly occurred with ...." lists the website Reload Webpage. We have hit the Reload Webpage. It still will not work. What happened and how do I fix it?
