Thanks for replying, I have already read every document on the Apple site about icloud, multiple times, before posting the question.
The pages you point to are so bare bones and limited in what they present as to be, practically speaking, useless. They are more like advertisements than how-tos.
I cannot find a detailed document describing everything you can and can't do with icloud drive, and how to do it, anywhere on the internet and posting in these forums often generates almost no replies or simply replies pointing to the same links we've all read already.
I'm also having some problems with documents not being available and there is no way to sync without a convoluted process of logging out and back in on every device, which is a total pain in the behind and time consuming.
There should really be a "sync now" button on every icloud preference setting on all devices and in the 'files.app'. I know this can be done as Firefox sync does it seamlessly and all Firefox devices sync in mere seconds after clicking this button. I realize that syncing files that are larger than the small amount of data that Firefox will sync will take more time but the ability to just click on "sync now" and begin the process, which should be able to be monitored in a status bar, is such a basic no brainer that it befuddles me that it hasn't been implemented.
So, is there a full, comprehensive document with FAQs and how-tos for icloud to be found anywhere?
Thanks.
