In the last 2 days I have noticed a problem with Mac safari. All of a sudden web pages won't open. It might flash the 1st page of a store, for example, but then the page won't open. This has happened with multiple businesses, but not all.

There have recently been many reports of new problems with Safari. It seems that the recent Safari update has issues. Word has it that Apple knows about the problems and is working on a fix. I assume that it will be released fairly soon. In the meantime, use another browser such as Firefox or Chrome and they should work for you.

Thanks for the response. It was a Safari update issue. Apple tech support helped me resolve it this morning. It took some time, but their support staff are amazing.
