Pasting Without Formatting

Whenever I'm using Google Docs, I prefer to paste without formatting. That way, I don't have to reformatting everything to make it look neat. However, it won't let me do that on Safari, but will on Chrome. I'd assume that this problem is only related to Safari.

I'd prefer to avoid using Chrome for a multitude of reasons. So I would like to try and fix Safari before resorting to Chrome. What is going on with my Safari browser, and how do I fix it?

Safari Version: 14.1.2

Hello, and welcome to Apple Support Communities Eisig_Liang,

From your post we can see you'd like to paste without formatting using Safari.

The first thing we're going to suggest is to update Safari. There was a recent update on September 20, 2021: About the security content of Safari 15. It was a security update, and there was a few changes to the formatting.

Next, although you might already know, we wanted to share this guide: How to copy and paste on Mac. It's got a good visual when you go to the section "Paste, or paste and match style". This might be as simple as the difference in Paste, or Paste and Match style.

This might help too: Drag and drop items on Mac. It might be a good solution for you depending on how you'd like to use Safari and your documents.

We hope this helps!
