Desperate to get messages loaded to ipad from a previous icloud backup from an iphone.

There are two icloud backups available for iphone. I need the older one and I need the imessages from that iphone backup loaded to ipad. Can anyone tell me how to get those messages on ipad? It's crucial.

If you still have the phone, you can sync the messages using iCloud.
