in the ad campaign Apple was eagerly talking about how apps on iOS and iPad OS is now available one m1 Macs. I bought one air recently but couldn't find most of the apps even Among Us isn't available which is still present on there website..Why is that so?

FWIW, nowhere does Apple state all iOS/iPadOS apps are available on M1 Macs.
most ios apps arent availble for m1
