Hey I am on Big Sur 11.4 and my Automator version is on 2.1
How can I update it to 2.9? Because I am missing certain actions which I would like to use and a friend of mine has them available being on Automator 2.9 (on Mojave).

On Big Sur 11.6, the version of Automator is 2.1, and that is what you must use on this release of the operating system. Your friend may have other third-party applications installed which contribute their own Automator actions. A good example is Office 2011 for Mac which is not supported on Big Sur., and Graphic Converter 11.52 whose actions are compatible with Big Sur.
