iPad Mini 4 battery is dying

The battery on my iPad mini 4 is slowly dying and to my understanding is no long replaceable. Will it continue to work if it's connected to the charger even if the battery dies completely?

Probably not.

A 2015 iPad Min 4 is a STILL supported device.

You need to search online for your nearest, “local” Apple store location and call contact phone numbers and call to make an appointment to have your Apple iPad diagnosed and options presented you.

Failing that,

You need to contact Apple support via the contact support link located at the upper right hand corner of every Webpage of these Apple support communities.

Use the Hardware Repair & Battery usage & Charging support categories.

Chatted with Apple tech support yesterday. The battery is replaceable in a sense -- the entire device needs to be swapped out for a new one. The good news is that it's relatively inexpensive to do so: a new replacement iPad Mini 4 (obviously with a new battery) costs $99 (Canadian, since that's where I'm inquiring from).

For my second question, tech support opined that the unit would not be workable with a totally dead battery, even plugged into the wall.
