hello. I use mbp in corporate closed network via dynamic vpn. Mac integrated in Active directory, but Big Sur didn’t send A record to DNS. I can see my laptop in ActiveDirectory, but get error, while try to

connect or something. On 10.x devices work well.

how can i enable sending dns records to server?

After doing this, the DNS is no longer being automatically determined and set when joining a network, i.e., the DNS filled out by default is the last one used and I need to manually enter correct DNS when every time I join a new network. How to register an Apple computer's DNS record? (Equivalent to Windows "Register this connection's addresses in DNS") Hi, I've been racking my brain with this issue: -I'm trying to figure out how to register a workstation to DNS servers while using a specific (reserved) IPv4 address. -I put the network IPv4 settings to "Using DHCP with manual address", but as soon as I press Apply, this computer has its DNS record erased. -I found online that this command in Terminal can register it back to the DNS servers: dsconfigad -restrictDDNS en0 (as std or local admin account) but to no avail. -I've tried to rebind it to AD (just in case), but the DNS record still disappears after using a manual IP. -The computer cannot be resolved but is still (of course) remotely accessible using the IP address. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

DNS doesn't work, though I can ping it. Adding a new one can solve the problem temporarily. I have a 14-inch Macbook Pro released in 2021, recently my DNS failed regularly, the problem is as follows: my current DNS to Google DNS(8.8.8.8), it worked for about 24 hours after startup, then failed. But I could still ping my DNS server(the Google DNS). At this stage, I had to add another DNS that I had not used after startup, say DNS provided by Alibaba(223.5.5.5). Then, it worked for around another 24 hours before failing again. However, my network was still in good condition as I could still ping servers by IP addresses (but both aforementioned DNS were malfunctioning). As you see, the peculiar scenarios repeated. I wonder what is the problem with my computer or OS and what is a more elegant solution instead of continuously adding new DNS.
