iphone wont let me swipe

what can I do if my iphone wont let me swipe up, down, left or right? I can't power it off since I cant swipe to the right to power it off. All the siri commands still work though and I can still type on it.

iPhone XR, iOS 14

force restart


  • Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  • Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  • Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
