ipad power connection

How to connect 20w Apple power adaptor to supplied cable from ipad 6th gen.? Bought apple power cube but didn't realize usb-c has several sizes. Had chat with Apple support but they didn't find info even in specs.. I would like a solid adaptor or short cable, not much room for long one. Just need to change wattage for quicker charge..Thanks, H

The Apple 20W Power Adapter has a USB-C connector - as do all Power Adapters that support USB PD (Power Delivery) Fast Charging.

Your iPad6 has a Lightning connector. To charge your iPad from the 20W Adapter you simply require a USB-C to Lightning charging cable:

  • USB-C to Lightning Cable (1m)

  • USB-C to Lightning Cable (2m)

Note however that the iPad6 does not support Fast Charging; the maximum supported charging rate is 12W (i.e., 2.4A @5V).
