Ever since I have update my iPhone (12 Pro Max) to iOS 15, I’m unable to load webarchive files from the Files app. Seems to be affecting only iPhones, since they open just fine on my MacBook. Any clues?

We see you're having an issue loading Web Archive formatted files in the Files app. To clarify, is it having an issue loading newly created files or ones you've had stored previously? If you stored them previously can you create another and see if the issue continues? Does restarting the device help at all?

Is this happening with a particular websites file or have you not seen any consistency regarding which sites styles and graphics load from? Are the files actually downloaded to your iPhone or are they being accessed from the cloud via Wi-Fi or Cellular? Are you using Safari to save file or a different browser?

To answer your question - it’s both actually. I’m nether able to open a previously saved webarchive file (saved before the update), nor able to open the newly saved ones (post update). It’s more of a render issue I
think - none of the styles or the graphics doesn’t seem to load; only the text loads. Both these files are rendering perfectly on my Mac’s Safari.

To answer your question, this seems to be happening to any webpage that I save - the issue is consistent for files saved prior or post to the iOS 15 updates. From the look of it, the CSS doesn't seem to be loading, and the images as well. For e.g. the below screenshots are

it seems to a bug in iOS 15, since the same webarchive file loads just fine on my MacBook Safari.

Also, just to add - all the files were saved using Safari on my iPhone. and the issues is happening for the files saved locally and the ones saved to iCloud - both using WiFi and cellular data.
Same for me but on Ipad IPADOS15
