Apple Watch Latest Update

Hi, just downloaded the latest update for my Apple Watch and the face keeps autodimming EVERY TIME I LOOK AT IT.

Why would Apple arbitrarily just put this in? How do you turn this annoying feature off?

Please let me know, if this can't be turned off, I'm switching to Samsung, this is garbage. This should be a USER controlled feature.

You've made a functional watch completely annoying and borderline unusable.

Check the Display and Brightness settings: Go to watch Settings (gear icon after crown is pressed) then Display and Brightness. Scroll down to Wake settings and Wake duration. Also ensure the proper wrist orientation to ensure the correct arm motion detection is set: go to Settings then General, then Orientation.
