IPad mini 6 iCloud restore issue

So my iPad mini 6 arrive today but I am having some issues with the restore//cloud sync


For the most parts, Icloud restore worked. My 75,000 photos was successfully restored, reminder app, apple notes, key chain synced properly, with changes between all my devices ( ipad mini6, macbook M1, iPhone 12) working as advertised.


however apps that sync using iCloud documents seemed to be having problems. apps such as notability, pdf expert and apple files dont sync.

I have already tried the following


  1. Turned off cloud drive in the iCloud settings, restart, turn it back on. Didn't work
  2. Erased the iPad, restored again, using my iPhone to initiate the restore. Didn't work.
  3. Erased the iPad, restored using manualnselection, selecting my iPad pro back to that was done a few days back. Didn't work.
  4. Erased the iPad, set up as new iPad with my icloud account. Didn't work.
  5. logged off Cloud, restart, logged back in. Didn't work.


I have been in contact with Apple chat, they escalated the issue, promised to call me back 2 hours ago but I haven't heard back. So I am reaching out to the community for any work arounds or suggestions.


Having a really bad first day on my new iPad mini 6. Hope for some help please!
