Intermittent severe Magic Keyboard lag

Has anyone found a long term solution? I've tried 2 different BT keyboards. After a couple of days all the issues start again. They symbol display and the lag. The only thing I find that works is to restart. Problem is solved for a while. If the problem starts while signing in...a real big pain. Click one key at a time until it takes. I've turned down the key repeat too. Doesn't seem to make a difference. I believe it to be an OS problem. Too many keyboards have the same problem. The commonality is the OS or...is the M1 processor?

Mac mini M1 keyboard lagging I just bought a mac mini M1. Found that the keyboard frequently lagging, sometimes unresponsive up to a few seconds. Same problem even if I use a wired keyboard connected directly to USB C port. I have read related post on same topic in this forum 2021 but cannot find a solution. Is there any setting or driver that I might be missing?

Cmd, Opt, Ctr, Shift keys stuck or lagging Hi, I am using an M1 mac mini for a few months. My keyboard is a ~1 year old black Apple Magic Keyboard w/ Numpad. I’m also using a black Magic Trackpad and a Wacom Intuos Pro tablet with the latest firmware. Since operating this setup, I am experiencing a tideous problem with the modifier keys (cmd, option, control, shift). They seem to work with a slight delay after pressed. And more important: in about half of cases, they do not register letting go of the keys. For example, the OS acts as if ‚Cmd‘ is still pressed, even tough I only tapped it shortly and am not pressing any keys any longer. It only „resets“/releases the pressed state after I hit the key again. This is really annoying since most OS and app functions will be triggered as if a modifier key was pressed, even tough it is not. I am quite positive that it is not a hardware issue, since the keyboard itself is in great shape, and it also occures with another Magic Keyboard I have. It occurs whether the keyboard is connected via BT or USB. It also occurs on a different blank new user account on the same machine. Anyone else experience this and maybe have an idea on how to fix this?
