Installing an Android Emulator on MacOS Sierra

Whilst sites recommend Bluestacks Android Emulator 4 as being one of the best for a mac. when I download it and go to install it will not install on my Apple MacOS Sierra and it just keeps running but not installing. Any reason why and can it be installed or is there a better Android Emulator for my Mac?
