Music on iPad but not on iphone

music On my iPad is not showing up on my iPhone. Any ideas?

  1. Ensure that your iPhone and your iPad are using the same Apple ID.
  2. Ensure that Sync Library function on both devices is set to ON. Open Settings ➔ Music ➔ Sync Library: Set this to ON on both devices.

Don't See the Music App?:

Reset the Home Screen Layout.

Go Here: Move and organize apps on iPhone - Apple Support

Scroll to: Reset the Home Screen and Apps to their Original Layout

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Reset
  4. Tap: Reset Home Screen Layout

I should have been more specific. I have the music app on my iPad and my iPhone 12mini. I can play music on both devices. I can play some songs on my iPad that I want to listen to, but when I want to play the same song on my iPhone, it is not in my iPhone library. Hope that makes more sense.

I do have thousands of songs in the iPad library that are also in my iPhone library. Just some songs are not and I can’t figure out why.

Suggestions?

Make Sure Music is an Allowed App:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Screen Time
  3. Tap: Always Allowed
  4. Remove: Music (if shown on top with a red-colored encircled hyphen)
