Hi all, I'm travelling to the UK next year and will be buying a local SIM. How do I link my iMessages & iCloud under my Apple ID to this new SIM so I can still keep in touch with family back home in Aus?

Once you remove your current SIM cared and install the UK SIM card then you will be prompted to setup iMesasges and FaceTime again with your new (temporary) number. When you get back home and change out the SIM cards again, then you will be prompted to set up iMessage and FaceTime again.

Ha! You are welcome. Yes it is simple. I go to UK often and do the same routine as you are mentioning. Too easy to setup Messages and FaceTime.

Travelling overseas - using iMessage on temporary SIM
