Updating iPad Air: iOS version compatibility

What latest iOS version is compatible with my iPad Air model MF009LL/A? I currently have iOS 12.5.5.

I'm trying to install an app that needs iOS 13 but my iPad's software update feature only shows version 12.5.5. Will my device support newer versions of iOS? If so, how do I update my iPad to the newer version?
