After ios15 update memories are practically ruined.
Yes it's easier to make a nice video but what's the use to include videos to the memory if you can't select the part of the video shown, the length and the in video sound volume...
Memories was my favorite feature on the iPhone because with miminum effort I could Create a beautiful video. Now it's ruined.
Hope someone listens and these features find their way back...

I too have kept the old OS on my iPad for this very reason. So upset at Apple for ‘improving’ Memories. Seriously, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. It wasn’t perfect beforehand (why can’t I just add any photo into a memory?) but it worked, this however, is trash. To do anything remotely similar to edit a video I want included in a memory, I now have to use Adobe Rush and just create the entire memory there instead. Super patronising of Apple to dumb this down for us.
I totally agree. Loved to use memories to make little slideshows. It always needed some adjustment. The version on iOS 15 is (excuse my French) just ****. It's a shame. Not gonna update my iPad so I can use the old version. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD MEMORIE FUNKTIONS APPLE!!!!

Yesterday I’ve spoken with the assistance and they suggested me to use a third party app 😳.
I really hope too that old features find their way back...
I just figured out how to edit my memory videos like 3 days ago and really liked it. Downloaded ios15 last night and found today all my memory videos I had previously made were all messed up and can’t be re-edited like before. Total garbage move to make changes that weren’t needed 😡
I can't really believe that we can't choose where a video is playing. ok I get it AI for the none-tech users but seriously what's the point if you add a small piece of a video of person talking and you can't understand what he is talking about?... this is total garbage. Memories WAS one of the features that made me love the iPhone. now I can't use it.
Also agree with all of this. I used to make memory movies of everything, that friends and family really enjoyed. Now that I can’t make the kind of adjustments I used to, they are bland nonsense. I was excited to update, going for slight improvements on the old version, so I t was the first thing I checked. But this new thing is almost useless. So so so disappointed. Please give us the option to reinstall the old version!
Thankyou. Finally seen views the same as mine. Used to use this feature loads , but they have absolutely ruined it. They’ve just taken away all the functionality that made it good. And as you’ve highlighted what’s the point of showing a random 2 second clip at the start of a video
Ios15 ruined hours of work I had done in”memories “ rearranged photos from different memories and created its own with different music applied. I am just so sad about it. I hope Apple will reverse the problem.
Have been trying to find the memories I created and worked long hours on and cannot find them. Apple has rearranged everything I had put together and at this point I am just angry. What is the point here? Does Apple know best what to do with my photos and videos? I think not. These are mine, or so I thought.
I am so disappointed. Why to add complications with filters and set them by default and if in normal case I don’t want to use? Why I cannot chcange the lenght of the movies anymore? Dear Apple - please, please, please return back the old memories feature - it was excellent and simply worked without making any frustrations

Potentially spoiling the sale of a new Mac if this stuff isn’t sorted. Memories is a big part of what draws me to the apple product line… or at least it was.
