I can’t reinstall Mac OS after its been shutdown and now I can’t use it or return back

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.14

What problem were you having that prompted you to take any action that put you in this position?


Are you having trouble getting your Mac to restart?

What happens when you press the power button?

To reinstall macOS, you must restart you Mac in Recovery mode. Restart the Mac, and when you hear the startup chime immediately press and hold the Command-R (⌘R) keys until you see the Apple logo and progress bar.
