Transfer 50 gigs PC music to MAC

Here is the complete scope of what i would like to do

I have 50 + gigs of music on my PC and I need to transfer them to my MAC so i can populate my iphone with music i want using itunes

I would like to upload my PC music on a hard drive and then plug it into my MAC so i don't have to use the internal memory.


Question 1: Can you upload an external hard drive with music and plug it into a mac

Hi, Copykatt. You can definitely do that. You'll want to make sure the external drive is in a file format that both the PC and Mac can access. Generally, ExFAT would be what you'd want to use. Hi, Copykatt, and thanks for reaching out. We see that you have some questions on transferring music to your Mac. We'll be glad to assist.


To import your music files, you'll want to follow the steps outlined here: Import music from a computer to Music on Mac


You should also be able to put the music on an external drive and connect it to a Mac to access as you'd mentioned as well.
