Connection Canon EOS 1000D with MacBook Pro/BigSur

Can anybody give me some advice to make a cable connection work between my MacBook Pro 13" 2020 with BigSur version 11.6 and my Cannon EOS 1000D. I'm stucked! It did work until I installed the version 11.6 of BigSur.
