I am new to iMac,s, I am trying to find out if it's possible to fit a larger ssd or a second drive to my machine. Only having 256mb doesn't seem a lot for a machine of this power.
Any advice is welcomed.

You cannot upgrade the internal 256GB SSD. Rather, you could use an external SSD or HDD for more storage. Here are some great options: Storage - Mac Accessories - Apple.
