Ipad Gen 4 won't connect to WiFi

I tried everything: rebooting the router, connecting to different wifi, changing the sim card.

The tech support said that the software is probably too old to connect to the network ( it has God knows which IOS from 2013).

Has anyone encountered this?

For older iPad models with a Home button, do a simple hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake/power button simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons.

Try a simple reset of your home WiFi network by simply unplugging your wireless, WiFi MODEM/router box from power for 15-20 seconds, or so.

Then, re-plug the MODEM/router box back into power and simply let the MODEM box re-cycle itself and try your WiFi, again.

If still no joy,

Do you use a VPN app/service with that old iPad?

Try disabling it or, temporarily deleting it from your iPad.

Re-establish your WiFi connection.

If you choose, re-download the VPN and re-enable it and see if your WiFi connection stays stable, or not.

Good Luck!
