System software from Legacy Developer was blocked from loading

System software from Legacy Developer was blocked from loading.

Apple - System Preferences - Security & Privacy - General

shows

System software from developer "Legacy Developer: Paceap" was blocked from loading

How to remove such message (other than allowing such legacy software)? I guess that it corresponds to these kernel extensions:

/Library/Extensions/PACESupportFamily.kext

/Library/StagedExtensions/Library/Extensions/PACESupportFamily.kext

System: macOS 11.6 (20G165) Big Sur.

PACE is anti-piracy software usually bundled with audio software/hardware.

If you remove it, whatever software you have installed that used it will no longer work.

You should use the installer they provided, but can just remove the PACE extension from /Library/Extensions

You either allow it, or remove it. If it is there and you don't allow it, the system will block it every time and let you know.

The extension is probably in /Library/Extensions.

Did you try simply restarting your mac?

Once you remove the extension from /Library/Extensions, it should probably not be loaded into StagedExtensions.

If it still shows, then try restarting in Safe Mode and see if you can remove it then.

Thanks. I do not know which software installed it.

I could manually remove it from

/Library/Extensions/PACESupportFamily.kext

but not from

/Library/StagedExtensions/Library/Extensions/PACESupportFamily.kext

How to remove the later?

Thanks. I shut down and cold booted the Mac, yet

/Library/StagedExtensions/Library/Extensions/PACESupportFamily.kext

remains there. The "File - Move to Bin" shows gray dimmed.

How to delete such PACESupportFamily.kext item?

I tried booting in safe mode to no avail. Besides being excruciatingly slow, it does not allow to move or delete it. How to delete it?
