Before updating my iPhone 11Pro Max to iOS15 I could unlock my iPhone with my mask on using my Apple Watch. Since updating to 15 my phone no longer unlocks with my watch even though it is selected in Settings.
what am I missing? What has changed with the update? How can I fix it. Thank you.

This feature seems to be a bit fussy, it’s had issues on and off since introduced. Have you tried unpairing your Watch, then re-pairing it with your iPhone? That might help.
You can also add in an iPhone reset of its network settings after unpairing and before re-pairing (Settings/ General/ Reset/ Reset Network Settings). That won’t erase any data on the iPhone, but you may have to sign back into previously-used Wi-Fi networks, and you may need to re-pair some Bluetooth devices.

I had already read the directions and requirements on the Apple page to which you directed me. I also had mentioned that it used to work while on the previous iteration of iOS and Watch OS, but has stopped working since updating. This means that I am already running the latest software for both my Apple Watch 5 and my iPhone 11Pro Max. I appreciate that you took the time to answer my question, but you did not actually answer my question.
Unlock with mask used to work-I updated my devices last week, now unlock with mask on won’t work and I am perpetually prompted for my pass code when unlocking.
Hi there, that is much more helpful. I actually had to do that anyway. There was a problem after installing 15 on the phone which caused all my data to stop working and required a factory reset. All my passwords, network and settings etc. needed to be reentered. The watch did not require a factory reset to work properly.
