I am using an iMac with the macOS Monterey version 12.0.1 . I can no longer open the site for design space. The website is design.cricut.com all I get is a white screen. I uninstalled the cricut application and because of this problem and now cannot even redownload the application. This leaves my cricut machine unusable! I was on Apple support as well as cricut support and still have no resolution. Would love some help!!!
Have you tried using different web browsers? Does the issue occur with them all? Safari, Firefox, or a Chromium based browser such as Vivaldi or Google Chrome?
Are you using any browser extensions or add-ons that may be blocking the website? You can try creating a new user account & logging into the new user to see if you can access the website. If the new user account works, then you have a configuration issue with your main user account.
Are you using any anti-virus apps, cleaning apps, or third party security software that may be interfering with the normal operation of macOS? You can try booting into Safe Mode which disables login items and third party drivers. If this works, then you have some third party software installed that is causing the problem.

Open in safe mode, only thing that worked for me. MAC OS 12 has not been tested with Design Space, for Design Space to
work properly you would need to be at 11.6 OS at the highest and no lower than OS 10.15 so if you updated to Monterey like I did, then it isn't compatible. Reinstalling, clearing the cache, etc didn't work for me but shutting down and restarting in Safe Mode saved me.
THE PROBLEM:
My 20220 MacBook Air M1 stopped letting the Cricut Design Space app open up. I got a white window the said Cricut and V0.17.143. There was an X also in the upper right hand corner. I called Cricut and they had me delete and re upload the app but didn't work.
THE FIX:
I downloaded Malwarebytes and using their free trial offer cleaned my laptop of any possible malware. My computer restarted and I scanned again with Malware bytes and it found a couple more malware bytes. I restarted my computer again and then opened Cricut Design Space without any problems.
I believe somewhere along the way I must have clicked on something that left a cookie or whatever causing my laptop not to let Cricut open. This worked for me, your mileage my differ, hope it helps, it took me all day to figure it out.
Hello Karel. What happened is Cricut Design Space updates aren't compatible with MAC OS Monterey which is version 12.0. It has not been tested with Design Space, Windows 11 hasn't been either. for Design Space to work properly you would need to be at 11.6 OS at the highest and no lower than OS 10.15. So basically Cricut screwed us and put the blame on Apple! In order to install the Design space updates I literally had to update my MacBook to Monterey utimately rendering Design Space useless which they didn't mention because they didn't even know, so uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing the cache, emptying the trash bin, etc will likely not work for you either. Good news is, after some tinkering around, I figured out that if you open in Safe Mode you should be able to use design space. This has worked for me 3 times so far because I had to shut down and restart in order for my other programs to speed up. It's a huge inconvenience because it slows everything else down but it allowed me to continue to run my business. I hope you've figured it out by now though.
I deleted the program then I got a Mac cleaner program. Once I cleaned the Mac I was able to reinstall it and it worked! I would try a cleaner program to get rid of any weird malware that could be hiding. Hopefully it works, I love my cricut!

I'm having the exact same issue. I've downloaded the update and still states I need to down load new update
Again like @claire504 said we need more specific details. In your case we also need to know what is the exact error message so we know what you mean by "need to dowload new update"? I'm guessing that you are using an older version of macOS that is not compatible with the Cricut software. Check the system recommendations for the Cricut software to make sure your computer meets or exceeds those system recommendations.
If you are using an M1 Mac, then does Cricut even support using their software on an M1 Mac? This is why we need more details in order to help you or the OP. It would also help if both of you also provided links to Cricut website for the exact product and the link to the Cricut support page where you are accessing the software. If the Cricut product shipped with a DVD or USB stick, then that software may be out of date. You should always check the Cricut website for the most recent version of their software.

What was the Mac cleaner you used?
You should not use any anti-virus apps, cleaning apps, or third party security software on a Mac. These types of apps are not needed on a Mac and usually cause more problems than they solve plus they impact system performance. These forums are full of posts where these types of apps cause all sorts of problems and once these apps are uninstalled the Macs begin working properly again. If you have any of these types of apps installed, then uninstall them by following the developer's instructions.
If you believe you have a malware infection, then the only app most contributors on these forums will suggest is MalwareBytes. Once the system has been scanned this app can be uninstalled (use the uninstall feature which I believe is located on one of MalwareBytes' menus).
Hey Cruesoe,
It sounds like you're having an issue with your Cricut Design Space app on your MacBook Air. Can you tell us more details on what's happening with the app? Additional details can help us understand more o what's going on and determine possible next steps.
Also, depending on the issue you're encountering, this article might be helpful: If an app freezes or quits unexpectedly on Mac - Apple Support
Take care.
Try my suggestion from my earlier post here which I got directly from the Cricut support website:
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253186421?answerId=256090584022#256090584022
Otherwise you will need to contact Cricut support for assistance. Third party developers are responsible for making their products work with macOS. It is also possible Cricut is not supporting the version of macOS you are currently using. Maybe this is just a temporary issue until they release an update to their software, or perhaps they have decided not to support the version of macOS you are currently using.
There is no error message. It is just a blank white space. Used Safari and Chrome, did a hard reset of my MAC, reinstalled Design space to no avail. We need help. We cant use the Cricut that we spent so much money for.

Did you try any of the suggestions in any of my earlier posts in this thread? I provided a link to the Cricut website with instructions to clear the application cache that is supposed to address this very issue. I also provided a few other suggestions if this does not work. Please post the results of all my suggestions.
Also, what do you mean by "hard reset"?
I have the mac air with M1 chip. Mine doesn't work either and there are no errors. It just loads with a white screen
Nov. 7th and I have not been able to open Cricut Design Space on my MacBook Pro since August. I have spoken with the company many times and unINSTALLED and reINSTALLED no less than 15 times! I am still unable to use this program on my computer. Yes, I can use it on my iPad but you don't get all the features (which I want) on it. I'm so frustrated! Maybe I should have gone with Silhouette.
I've never been fond of the Cricut software as they take the simplest method for them to implement their software, but the results are great for the actual users. Plus like everyone else they are more Windows centric. It would help if Cricut devices would utilize some open standards so anyone could create apps to work with their devices. I think the Silhouette may be a bit better in this regard, but that is only what I recall when trying to research alternatives to Cricut products many years ago.
Disclaimer: I don't use the Cricut products, but unfortunately I've had to assist family members with their Cricut products. It has always been an absolute pain.
