Apple and xfinity compatibility issues

Xfinity (Comcast) has put out a notice that there is a compatibility issue, where in iOS 15 there is a “private relay” and it acts like a VPN. As I understand their statement, they want users to turn that feature off.

In iOS 14.8, I’ve noticed a “private address” toggle on wifi networks. Is this the precursor to the iOS 15 feature?

Is this compatibility issue between the two companies going to be resolved? Are the Apple features hindering my wifi connection in any way?

I’m have the same issue with Xfinity At home Internet and our Apple iPhones/iPads … we have one gigabyte it said Said that it is supposed to be good enough for an entire office to run off of, My kids are all able to use their Xbox with no issues, but all our apple Devices run very very very slow, to the point where we have to shut off Wi-Fi and run off LTE… So far this is happened to me in two different homes, one in Olympia Washington and another in Graham Washington.
