streaming xfinity on MacBook pro

Why can I not stream Xfinity on my MacBook pro? There is no app to download from the App Store.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.5

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. FWIW, I just tried accessing that same link on three of my Macs, running macOS Big Sur, and none of them had any trouble getting past that screen to the Xfinity streaming home page. As such, I don't think it is a Big Sur issue, but the way either your Mac or your local network is configured.


For example:

  • Do you use a software firewall on your Mac?
  • Do you use an anti-virus app on your Mac?
  • Do you use a VPN to access the Xfinity servers?
  • Do you use any types of ad-blockers on your Internet browser?
