new phone - google authenticator didn't transfer with my data?

got my new phone and got it set up in store. When I got home, I realized my google authenticator didn't transfer. I don't have any QR code or Set up Key. What can I do?

Then follow these steps on your old phone

  1. Open Authenticator then tap the three-dot menu icon followed by Transfer accounts.
  2. Select Export accounts and enter your PIN code when prompted.
  3. Pick the accounts you want to transfer then tap Next.
  4. Open Authenticator, tap Get Started,
  5. Tap Import existing accounts?

A backup from your a computer doesn't include:


  • Content from the iTunes and App Stores, or PDFs downloaded directly to Apple Books
  • Content synced from iTunes, like imported MP3s or CDs, videos, books, and photos
  • Data already stored in iCloud, like iCloud Photos, iMessages, and text (SMS) and multimedia (MMS) messages
  • Face ID or Touch ID settings
  • Apple Pay information and settings
  • Apple Mail data
