No. All you need is common sense. There are no known viruses that can attack your Mac without your active participation. macOS has its own built-in security software that is updated on a regular basis.


There are tons of what is called ‘malware’ out there but they all require the user to be tricked into installing it by not paying attention. Remember the age old advice, if it sounds too good to be true it’s probably a scam.
